About the teacher in detail
Doctor of Technical Sciences (1989), professor (1994). He graduated from Tashkent Polytechnic Institute in 1966. He worked as a researcher and postgraduate student at the Institute of Cybernetics with a Computing Center of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan, later becoming head of a laboratory. From 1982 to 1990 he headed a laboratory and a department at the “Algorithm” Institute of the “Cybernetics” Research and Production Association. He subsequently served as head of a department at Tashkent Polytechnic Institute, head of the Main Directorate for Informatization of the State Committee for Science and Technology (1992–1996), a responsible employee of the Office of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan (1996–1999), Deputy Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan (1999–2000), and First Deputy Director General of the state enterprise “Uzmaxsusimpex” (2000–2005). From 2005 he headed a department at TUIT; he is currently professor at the Artificial Intelligence Department of TUIT. From 1969 to 1975, M. Musayev studied the modeling of control systems based on combined analog and digital computing-machine complexes. From 1984 to 1990 he worked on the design and deployment of computing systems and networks in the military-industrial complex, including dual-computer control systems for detecting geophysical processes and extracting useful signals from noisy backgrounds. He holds more than 20 inventor’s certificates in computing technology and is the author of more than 130 scientific articles, 5 monographs, and 4 textbooks/study guides. He formed his own scientific school and trained more than 10 Candidates of Science and PhD researchers. In 1999 he received the Yuri Gagarin Memorial Medal, and in 2001 the German Titov Memorial Medal.
