Kamilov Mirzayan Mirzaakhmedovich

Doctor of Technical Sciences (1974), professor (1977), academician of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1994). He graduated from the Bauman Moscow Higher Technical School in Russia in 1960. He worked as a senior engineer at the V.I. Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan; head of a laboratory at the Institute of Mechanics; deputy director of the Institute of Cybernetics; deputy director of the “Algorithm” Institute within the “Cybernetics” Research and Production Association; director of the Institute of Systems Research; vice-president of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan; head of a laboratory at the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies; and head of a laboratory at the Center for Development of Software Products and Hardware-Software Complexes under Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT). Since 2021, he has been a professor at TUIT and head of the “Pattern Recognition” Laboratory at the Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. The scientific school founded by M. Kamilov has worked successfully in image and pattern recognition, systems analysis, and the construction of complex human-machine systems. Results of research projects carried out under his supervision were applied to automated control systems and decision-support systems in real sectors of the economy. He is the author of 6 monographs, 3 textbooks/study guides, 1 patent for an invention and utility model, and more than 350 scientific articles. Under his scientific supervision, 17 Doctors of Science and more than 35 Candidates of Science were trained. On 26 August 2023, he was awarded the “Mehnat Shuhrati” (“Labor Glory”) Order of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
