Doctor of Technical Sciences (1989), professor. He graduated from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology in Russia in 1975 and was a postgraduate student at the Computing Center of the USSR Academy of Sciences from 1975 to 1978. He worked as a leading researcher and department head at the “Cybernetics” Research and Production Association of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (1978–1991), head of a department at Tashkent Financial Institute (1991–1996), head of the Information Technology Center of the Banking and Finance Academy (1996–2004), professor at Tashkent Financial Institute (2004), president of the Engineering Federation of Uzbekistan (2008–2014), chief scientific secretary of the Tashkent branch of Lomonosov Moscow State University (2011), and professor at the National University of Uzbekistan (2014). Since 2018 he has been professor at the Information Security Department of the National University of Uzbekistan. The scientific school of A. V. Kabulov achieved important results in constructing optimal mathematical models of modern symmetric encryption algorithms using algebraic cryptanalysis, applying them in software, and proving their robustness. Under his supervision, new intelligent methods and technologies were developed for processing and protecting environmental data collected by IoT devices. He led 2 fundamental, 3 applied, and 1 innovation project. He is the author of 5 monographs, 1 textbook, and 42 scientific articles indexed in Scopus. Under his supervision, 5 DSc and 12 PhD researchers were trained. In 2011 he received the “Engineering Valor” award of the International Engineering Academy (Russia) and an engineering honor award of the National Engineering Academy of Kazakhstan.
