About the teacher in detail
Doctor of Technical Sciences (2007), senior researcher. He graduated from the Abu Rayhon Beruni Tashkent Polytechnic Institute in 1981. From 1984 he worked as an engineer, junior researcher, postgraduate student, senior researcher, doctoral researcher, and laboratory head at the Institute of Cybernetics within the “Cybernetics” Research and Production Association of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan. He later headed laboratories at the Institute of Mathematics and Information Technologies and at the Scientific-Innovation Center of Information and Communication Technologies under TUIT. Since 2021 he has headed the “Technical Systems Control and Digital Design” Laboratory at the Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence. B. Azimov’s research is devoted to mathematical modeling of machine-testing systems and optimal control of their motion. He was the first in Uzbekistan to apply L. Pontryagin’s maximum principle to solve time-optimal problems for machine-testing systems. The algorithms and software systems he developed were successfully applied in the design of tractors and cotton-harvesting machines. He is the author of more than 130 scientific articles, 1 monograph, 4 patents, and more than 10 software certificates. Under his supervision, 1 Doctor of Technical Sciences, 2 Candidates of Technical Sciences, and a PhD researcher were trained. In 2003 he was awarded the “Shuhrat” Medal of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
