Thanks to advances in artificial intelligence technology, some models today have abilities such as writing poetry. Surprisingly, poems created with the help of AI are being received positively by the public.
According to the findings of a new study, people have difficulty distinguishing poems generated by artificial intelligence from poems by famous poets.
In the experiment, 1634 participants read 10 poetic works created by humans and AI. As a result, 46 percent of the participants correctly identified whether the poems had been written by a human or artificial intelligence. This figure was even lower than what would be expected from random guessing.
For context, the researchers also specifically noted that people found AI poetry clear and comprehensible, and that AI can imitate human creativity very convincingly
