Russian researchers have demonstrated a more optimized method of oil extraction using artificial intelligence.
The software developed by the team analyzes the operating mode of an electric pump and suggests the best solutions for maximizing oil production. This increases the volume of oil extracted by 1,5 % without additional costs.
The software module analyzes large volumes of data and takes into account parameters such as flow rate and pump downtime, helping to manage the oil extraction process in the most efficient mode. At the same time, this solution could increase the economic efficiency of major oil companies by up to 108 million rubles per year.
The technology has been successfully tested throughout Russia and has also generated strong demand in countries such as China, the USA, and Canada. Researchers note that artificial intelligence technologies improve labor productivity in oil extraction and deliver long-term economic benefits.
