Researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China have created a robotic finger that checks a person's heartbeat.

According to the journal “Cell Reports Physical Science,” this robotic finger could help doctors detect and treat diseases such as breast cancer.

“By further developing the capabilities of this technology, we will make it possible to use this ‘Robot Doctor’ fully in hospitals in the future,” researcher Hongbo Wang noted.

For reference, the research team plans to install this innovative finger on robotic hands equipped with sensors.
