Researchers at the School of Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University have developed an artificial intelligence model that uses mobile photographs to detect eye conditions in children, such as myopia, strabismus, and ptosis.

To create the model, the research team used 1419 images of 476 patients. Specifically, 946 monocular and 473 binocular images were used to detect the diseases.

It is worth noting that detecting eye diseases through mobile images has demonstrated high effectiveness and helps detect eye diseases in children, prevent them, and reduce the risk of disease.
