A winged microrobot has been created

Researchers from École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and Konkuk University have created a winged microrobot called “Rhinoceros beetles.”

The design of this microrobot was inspired by beetles, and it weighs 18 grams. Twice as large as a real beetle, this microrobot can move its wings and rise upward.

It is worth noting that the robot successfully passed testing and demonstrated high efficiency. The research team plans to use robots of this type in search-and-rescue operations during emergencies.
