According to the journal “Biology Methods & Protocols,” a team of doctors plans to develop an artificial intelligence-based model to detect and diagnose cancer in patients.
“This model will make it possible to correctly diagnose patients in the early stages of cancer, enabling them to receive the necessary treatment and potentially significantly improve their health,” noted Shamith Samarajiwa, lead author for the “Oxford Academic” newspaper.
For context, cancer is a widespread disease worldwide, diagnosed in more than 19 million people every year.
