Researchers at ETH Zurich laboratory have developed a new version of a robot equipped with a navigation system.
This robot is capable of covering a distance of 20 km per hour. It is also equipped with two artificial neural networks: the first helps it move in various environments, and the second performs the navigation task.
“This robot is the result of our five-year research. Our main goal in creating it was to develop the fastest robot,” noted researcher Joonho Lee.
The research group tested this robot. As a result, it managed to cover more than 10 km through the cities of Zurich in Switzerland and Seville in Spain.
For reference, this robot was created based on a robot developed by “Team CERBERUS”.
