The first day of the international scientific and practical conference on “Cybernetics—the foundation of modern artificial intelligence” successfully concluded at School 21, a digital technology school located in our capital.

The event was attended by Minister of Digital Technologies Sh. Shermatov, O'zRFA President Sh. Ayupov, leading local and international scientists, researchers, information technology specialists, as well as students and representatives of the mass media.

The event was opened by Minister of Digital Technologies Sh. Shermatov, who warmly congratulated all industry specialists on the 60th anniversary of the Institute of Cybernetics. In his speech, the minister placed particular emphasis on the attention the head of state is giving to artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

Scientists from Indonesia, Russia, Kazakhstan and a number of other countries also took part in the conference with their presentations. In particular, Irwan Alnarus Kautsar, professor at Sidoarjo Muhammadiyah University in Indonesia, presented a paper entitled “The Role of Cybernetics in Artificial Intelligence and Quantum Computing Systems: Toward Society 5.0,” in which he shared important scientific insights into the integration of cybernetics with artificial intelligence and quantum computing systems, the development of intelligent control systems, and the role of cybernetics in improving people’s quality of life within the Society 5.0 concept.

The first day of the event was organized around a plenary meeting, plenary sessions and section meetings, with separate scientific discussions held in each area.

The conference featured the following sections:

⏺ modeling and optimization;
⏺ intelligent data analysis;
⏺ text, image and speech signal processing;
⏺ machine learning and knowledge representation;
⏺ digital technologies.

Conference participants also put forward proposals and initiatives to expand scientific cooperation, develop joint research and strengthen the exchange of experience.
